AS12322 Transit & Interconnection Policy
Settlement Free Interconnection ("peering")
Free S.A.S (AS12322) has a selective peering policy. Applicants must meet
each of the following pre-qualifications:
- Applicant must operate a fully staffed Network Operation Center (NOC)
24 x 7 x 365.
- Applicant must peer with AS12322 in at least two different locations
- Traffic exchanged must be at least 1000Mbps average in each direction
and traffic ratio should be no more than 2:1
- Applicant must be advertising at least a /16.
To ensure continued compliance with AS12322 policy, status of all
settlement-free peers will be reviewed once every six months or upon
requests for upgrades. Peers who do not comply with the published policy
will be given 60 days to remedy the situation.
This policy is only a guideline. Meeting all requirements does not
guarantee that Free S.A.S. will accept to peer with the Appliant.
Exceptions may also be granted at the sole discretion of Free S.A.S.

Regional Settlement Free Interconnection
Regional Settlement Free Interconnection is available in major cities in
France. In every region where Applicant has a peering session with
AS12322, Free S.A.S will advertise its customers in this region (based of
the BGP confederation topology of AS12322).

Applicants must meet each of the following pre-qualifications:
- Applicant must operate a fully staffed Network Operation Center (NOC)
24 x 7 x 365.
- Traffic exchanged must be at least 400Mbps (inbound or outbound)
- Presence in all regions is NOT required. However, it is required to
setup at least peering sessions in two different regions to be able
to peer in Paris.
All costs associated to link Applicant's network to Free S.A.S.
equipments are to be supported by the Applicant.

Paid Peering
For applicants who do not qualify for a Settlement Free Interconnection
or who do not have a nation wide network to establish Regional Settlement
Free Interconnection, it's possible to request a Paid Peering. The
benefits are:
- Direct access to all Free S.A.S content
- Direct access to more than 2.6 million eyeballs
- No traffic volume and restrictive ratio requirements
- A single Point of Presence to collect/deliver traffic
- A monthly flat price depending on the interface capacity
